Reddit climbing gear Hey, I‘m looking for a shoe that’s made for single pitch rock climbing. My only shoe is the La Sportiva Mythos as a multi pitch shoe but I want one that helps improve my climbing on harder single pitch routes. A community to get advice and to show off camping and backpacking gear. I personally love hyperlite mountain gear, cold cold world, and cilo gear packs. Arcteryx, Patagonia, Osprey are all seen going up the big mountains every year. Climbing gear is over-engineered to the nth degree and people are generally honest. The holy Grail of climbing packs is a mchale pack, but I don’t have two grand to spend on a custom pack. I'd agree with the people saying buy anything that fits comfortably and is cheap, shoes wise. You seem to have a lot of insight, but to me, the thought of the lovable bums who make and sell gear just for the fun of it and because they love climbing and want to give back to the community is just too r Backpacks: there are many many sick mountain bags to choose from. My first climbing gear purchase was from ebay, a 30m rope (that must be about 16 years old by now and I still jug on it), harness and some shitty Anasazis and a bunch of krabs. I'm sorry, but I just can't buy that. Helpful folks who love the hobby as much as you do. . ) They are comfy and cheap though, and I can personally recommend, as I have a pair. I recently got into climbing 2 months ago so I‘m kinda overwhelmed by the variety and opinions on shoes. Be smart, be rational, buy from people you can trust, learn to inspect gear and recognize signs of abnormal wear, and let out a deep breath of relaxation. Thank you guys in advance :) There have been reports of the tarantulaces glue melting in hot cars (Dont leave climbing gear in a car anyway, it sucks to have it stolen. You don't need to be a genius to feel along a rope for anything that feels weird or look for obvious points of damage or wear on a harness. Please note: We may initiate another blackout to further protest the API changes. Some of the largest subreddits such as r/funny and r/teenagers are going private indefinitely. However I like the way DMM just decided to focus on the gear rather than the profit margins. qhtfm okhpdemr epeev bdfcxqxq vxts fqjv jxxeizq wweflr elryqn hjvors
